Harold Nosaka

Harold Kiyoto Nosaka, 78, of Hilo, died July 16, 2017, at home. Born in Hilo, he was a retired warehouseman with T. Hara &Co. Ltd.

Friends may call at 4 p.m. on July 27, 2017, at Dodo Mortuary chapel for a 5 p.m. service. The family requests casual attire be worn and that flowers be omitted.

He is survived by son, Alton (Johnalyn) Nosaka, of Keaau; daughter, Fay Nosaka, of Keaau; brother, Herbert Nosaka, of Hilo; sisters, Ellen Kobayashi and Mildred Nakamoto, both of Hilo; grandchildren, Sage Nosaka and Lyn’Al Nosaka, both of Keaau; and nieces and nephews.

Feliza Batad

Feliza Pascua Batad, 90, of Keaau and formerly of Halaula, died June 26, 2017, at her residence. Born Aug. 5, 1926, in Santa Ilocos Sur, Philippines, she was a member of Hawi Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Kohala, Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Keaau, Keaau Senior Club, Kohala Filipino Catholic Club and Kohala Filipino Community Association.

Friends may call at 9 a.m. on July 28, 2017, at Dodo Mortuary chapel for an 11 a.m. service. Friends may also call at 8 a.m. on July 29, 2017, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hawi for a 10 a.m. Mass. Burial to follow at Halawa Catholic Cemetery. The family requests casual attire be worn.

She is survived by sons, Catalino (Gracia) Batad, of Paradise Park, and Charles (Tammy) Batad, of Hawi; sister, Trinidad Criste, of Philippines; four grandchildren; three-great-grandchildren; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Estrella Enojardo-Federizo

Estrella Enojardo-Federizo, 60, of Hawi, died July 5, 2017, at Queen’s Medical Center in Honolulu. Born Nov. 25, 1956 in Dumanjug, Cebu, Philippines, she worked for the Four Seasons Resort.

Friends may call at 9 a.m. on July 28, 2017, at Sacred Heart Parish Church in Hawi for services.

She is survived by his sons, Arvin (Myla Fe), Eric (Ann) and Glenn; grandchildren Marl Olsen and Andrea Myles, both of the Philippines, Alexander Christian, of Honokaa, and Neal Voltaire, of Waimea.

Freddie Berengue

Freddie Beyer Berengue, 67, of Kailua-Kona, died June 16, 2017, at his residence. Born March 9, 1950, in Honolulu, he was a self-employed flooring contractor and owner of Sunset Flooring and a paddler for Kai E Hitu, Kai O Pua and Keauhou canoe clubs.

Friends may call at 9 a.m. on July 29, 2017, at the Canoe Hale at Honokohau Harbor in Kailua-Kona for a celebration of life.

He is survived by wife, Kande Berengue, of Kailua-Kona; daughter, Michele Lohry, of Windsor, Colorado; sons, Steven (Siulin) Berengue, of Kailua-Kona, Shane (Linda) Berengue of Ellijay, Georgia, and Mitchell Berengue, of Ft. Collins, Colorado; brother, Gale Berengue, of Kailua, Oahu; sisters, Holly Young, of Honolulu, and Frances (Lambert) Lui-Kwan of Pearl City, Oahu; three grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
